OxygenOS 9.5.4 for OnePlus 7 Pro: What’s New? The OxygenOS 9.5.4 does not bring any new features to the table, but it improves the overall user experience to the customers. Firstly, the update brings some optimisations to the system-level features. OnePlus has optimised the double tap to wake and ambient display options. The update also fixes one of the annoying bugs present on the OnePlus 7 Pro which is the delay in audio while playing games on a Bluetooth headset. For example, I played PUBG Mobile using the OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 headphones on OnePlus 7 Pro and there’s a significant audio lag like around two seconds which is underwhelming. Initially, I thought the issue is something related to the game, but OnePlus says the issue has now been fixed with OxygenOS 9.5.4 update. The OnePlus 7 Pro lacks the 3.5mm headphone jack so if you a distraction-free gaming experience, you’ll have to rely on wireless headphones. The changelog also mentions general bug fixes and improvements. Here’s why the update is so important for the OnePlus 7 Pro; The smartphone registered an overall score of 111 in DxOMark’s camera tests, but in real life, the performance is sort of underwhelming. Last week, OnePlus said that an update would be released soon to the OnePlus 7 Pro with all the camera improvements and it seems to be here already. OnePlus has improved the camera experience with four fixes. Firstly, the company has improved image quality in both HDR and low-light scenarios. The company also fixed white balance and focusing issues in several scenarios. Several OnePlus 7 Pro users complained about the inconsistent focusing issue on the OnePlus 7 Pro, and well, here’s the fix for that. Hopefully, camera experience would be better on the OnePlus 7 Pro after this update. We have been waiting for this update and our full review of the handset will be live in the next couple of days after testing the cameras. OnePlus 7 Pro: Fast, Fluid and Beautiful The OnePlus 7 Pro is not a flagship killer smartphone from the company, instead, it’s a proper flagship taking on the likes of Samsung Galaxy S10 series, Google Pixel 3 lineup and other top-tier phones. The phone looks beautiful; it’s fast ( I would term it as the iPhone in the Android world), delivers excellent battery life and offers an industry-leading Quad HD+ display with the 90Hz refresh rate. My review of the OnePlus 7 Pro will drop in the next couple of days detailing every aspect of the smartphone, so stay tuned for that.
