OnePlus 6T is the Best Phone Under Rs 30,000 in India The OnePlus 6T was launched in India in October 2018, so it’s just over six months since the phone’s arrival. The phone sports glass body and it comes in two colour options- Mirror Black and Midnight Black. There’s the McLaren Edition with Orange colour hue on the back, but that costs Rs 41,999. Talking about the core specifications of the OnePlus 6T, it has a 6.41-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display on the front with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Underneath, we have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of onboard storage. OnePlus seems to have phased out the 6GB+128GB storage model of the OnePlus 6T. The price of the 8GB+128GB model is Rs 27,999, while the 8GB+256GB model can be purchased for Rs 31,999. So at Rs 27,999, you’re getting 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage which is almost on par with the premium variant of Poco F1. As for the cameras, there are two sensors on the back of 16MP+20MP and a 16MP front-facing camera. The cameras on the OnePlus 6T were improved over the last six months with constant software updates, but they won’t match the performance of OnePlus 7 Pro though. The phone offers in-display fingerprint scanner, lacks 3.5mm headphone jack and has a 3700mAh battery with support for fast charging. Lastly, it runs Android 9 Pie based OxygenOS. Why You Should Get the OnePlus 6T at Rs 27,999? The OnePlus 6T has the best hardware in its price range right now. It performs exceptionally well thanks to the software optimisation, the camera performance has been improved over the last few months and it now offers reliable battery life too again because of the optimisations done with the software. The OnePlus 7 offers slightly tweaked design, UFS 3.0 storage, stereo speakers, Snapdragon 855 SoC, 48MP rear camera, upgraded front-facing camera, better in-display fingerprint scanner and will get equal software updates as the OnePlus 6T. As I said, the OnePlus 6T is still the best phone to purchase under Rs 30,000, but if you can stretch your budget above Rs 30,000, you should get the OnePlus 7 itself as it’s a flagship phone of 2019 with better hardware. The Poco F1’s premium variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage is also available for Rs 27,999/Rs 28,999, but the OnePlus 6T is a better phone over the two. The only drawback with the 6T compared to the Poco F1 is the lack of 3.5mm headphone jack which might trouble some of the mobile gamers out there.
