One of the leading global technology companies, HCL Technologies, known usually as HCL announced on Friday that Rogers Communications, which is a leading Canada-based telecom service provider and media company had selected the tech giant to support the operational stability excellence in business and operational support systems, as well as corporate IT system. This new multi-year agreement further adds to HCL’s managed services partnership with Rogers that first started back in 2016. HCL has added that it would help to scale Rogers’ IT infra and workloads migrating to both the current public and private cloud-based infrastructure, as well as support the enterprise’s ongoing operations.

HCL will also serve the current services provider, with the expanded contract also allowing HCL to invest in the next generation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and ML (Machine Learning) to allow for the best practices, increased efficiency, all of which will provide Rogers Communications with the much-needed flexibility when it comes to the new era of technology and 5G. Vikram Virk, the VP of IT Operations at Rogers Communications stated that HCL had played a key role supporting the reliability of the company’s operations ever since 2016 and has since then provided tremendous value by enabling Rogers Communications to scale its IT operational efficiency and stability.
