BSNL Deployed More than 5,000 4G Towers Last Year In its release, the government led telco noted that it has installed 54,000 towers in the 2018-19 period which is more than what BSNL had deployed in the past three years combined. The telecom operator also noted that it has also deployed 4G towers, and in the same period it was able to install 5,340 4G towers in the country till April 2019. As per BSNL’s statement, the mobile subscribers have liked this step by BSNL as the telco has claimed that in this period of 2018-2019, five million subscribers have joined BSNL’s subscriber base. Further, BSNL has also noted that it was one of the two telecom operators to amass more than 900,000 subscribers in February as per the Trai data. BSNL Director (CM), Mr Sheetla Prasad also said that BSNL is committed to offering excellent services at affordable prices to its subscribers. The telecom operator also informed that it had introduced Eros Now premium subscription free of cost providing unlimited movies and exclusive video series to the subscribers of select STVs like Rs 78, Rs 98 and Rs 298. BSNL Extends 2.21GB Extra Data Offer as Another Consumer Centric Move BSNL has been making similar positive changes in its portfolio in the past few weeks. The telecom operator has also recently extended the additional data offer which became insanely popular amongst its subscribers. The state-led telecom operator has been giving away 2.21GB of additional daily data to the customers on top of their usual data FUP limit. The offer which was launched last year has been continued by the telco and was recently revised a few days back. BSNL has now said that the additional data offer will go on till June 30, 2019. As part of this offer, STV 186 which used to offer 1GB daily data will offer 3.21GB daily data. Similarly, other STVs like the Rs 429, Rs 485, Rs 666, and Rs 1,699 have been bumped up to receive 2.21GB extra data on top of the benefit which they usually offer.
